Vestalea
TEXTILE ART WORKSHOP
Vestalea holds within its name a Vestal, ancient guardian of the fire, and a Talea, a cutting ready to generate new life.A theme of rebirth and subtle resilience.
It is a project that moves through lived experience and translates it into symbols and images, giving form to quilted fragments of life that bind memory and matter.
The process begins with Giulia’s personal story, then becomes shareable, opening itself to the stories of others. It delves into deep spaces of awareness, extracting the skeleton of the narrative, which becomes a drawing: a visible trace of an inner time to be preserved.
Embroidered, it transforms into a unique talisman, its meaning not explicit, yet intimate and powerful for the one who commissions it. A custom-made artwork of silk, soul, thread, and wadding.
For Benedetta and Karl, Vestalea created a large tapestry, a visual manifesto gathering images and symbols connected to the birth and history of the Flash Festival. Some elements of this story will be available as precious, one-of-a-kind pieces to carry with you.
During the festival, Giulia will lead a workshop where participants can experience this journey of image-making, culminating in the creation of a large collective mural canvas, drawn by the entire Flash Family.
Afterwards, you can book your private talk with Giulia to discover your symbol and how you could integrate it in one ad-hoc piece, made for you after the festival.

MEET THE ARTIST
Giulia is an artist whose practice unfolds at the intersection of architecture, fashion, and visual research.
Educated in Architecture in Milan and shaped by her work as a stylist for international brands, she navigates between spatial thinking and material sensitivity.
Her work balances structure and intuition, formal precision and tactile awareness, developing a visual language where colour, texture, and subtle narrative coexist in quiet tension and poetic balance.
